Enzyme Commission Number
EC 3.5.3.21
Product Overview
High-quality enzyme products.
Well-established quality management system.
Reaction
methylenediurea + 2 H2O = N-(hydroxymethyl)urea + 2 NH3 + CO2 (overall reaction)
(1a) methylenediurea + H2O = N-(carboxyaminomethyl)urea + NH3
(1b) N-(carboxyaminomethyl)urea = N-(aminomethyl)urea + CO2 (spontaneous)
(1c) N-(aminomethyl)urea + H2O = N-(hydroxymethyl)urea + NH3 (spontaneous)
Systematic Name
methylenediurea aminohydrolase
Function
Methylenediurea is hydrolysed and decarboxylated to give an aminated methylurea, which then spontaneously hydrolyses to hydroxymethylurea. The enzyme from Ochrobactrum anthropi also hydrolyses dimethylenetriurea and trimethylenetetraurea as well as ureidoglycolate, which is hydrolysed to urea and glyoxylate, and allantoate, which is hydrolysed to ureidoglycolate, ammonia and carbon dioxide.
Other name
methylenediurease

Should be stored in a dry and cool place, avoiding high temperature.
Appearance / Form
powder or liquid
Odor
Normal microbial fermentation odour.
WARNINGS
Keep sealed after use every time to avoid microbial infections and inactivation of enzymes until its finish.
Description
Microbial enzymes have been used in a large number of fields, such as chemical, agricultural and biopharmaceutical industries. Our enzyme production services are based on bacteria, fungi, and yeast, from strain selection, optimization, and process development to scale-up production.
