KEGG Analysis

KEGG, whose full name is Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes, was launched in 1995 by Kanehisa Laboratories. Now it has developed into a comprehensive database that integrates genome, chemistry, and system function information. One of the characteristics of the KEGG database is that the gene catalog obtained from the completely sequenced genome is associated with the higher-level cell, species and ecological system functions. It can be applied to query metabolic pathways, enzymes as well as products, and can also query metabolic pathway information of unknown sequences through BLAST alignment.

KEGG Pathway database is the core of KEGG resources. KEGG Pathway is a collection of metabolic pathways, including the following intermolecular interactions and reaction networks, and they are cellular processes, environmental information processing, genetic information processing, human diseases, metabolism, organic systems and drug development. Each category is classified by the system. There are two, three, and four layers and the fourth layer is the specific annotation information of each metabolic pathway diagram.
