Norovirus Genogroups 1 and 2 Nucleic Acid Detection Kit

 Product Information

Cat #
CBMN-DG021
CAS No.
Enzyme Commission Number
Product Overview
Biochemical assays for microbial pathogen detection work on the basis of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or reverse-transcriptase PCR.
Features
Robust Lyophilized RT-qPCR master mix;
Highly specific detection profile;
High priming efficiency;
Accurate controls.
Method
Technology
Reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) is the gold standard technique for mRNA quantification, but appropriate normalization is required to obtain reliable data. Normalization to accurately quantitated RNA has been proposed as the most reliable method for in vivo biopsies.

 Description

This kit is designed for the specific and exclusive in vitro quantification of both Norovirus genotypes. The kit is designed to have the broadest detection profile possible whilst remaining specific to the Norovirus genome. Two sets of primers and probe have been designed directed against each genotype which form distinct genetic linkages. The primers and probe sequences in this kit have 100% homology with a broad range of Norovirus sequences based on a comprehensive bioinformatics analysis.
