Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) Nucleic Acid Detection Kit

 Product Information

Cat #
CBMN-DG020
CAS No.
Enzyme Commission Number
Product Overview
Biochemical assays for microbial pathogen detection work on the basis of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or reverse-transcriptase PCR.
Features
Robust Lyophilized RT-qPCR master mix;
Highly specific detection profile;
High priming efficiency;
Accurate controls.
Method
Technology
Reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) is the gold standard technique for mRNA quantification, but appropriate normalization is required to obtain reliable data. Normalization to accurately quantitated RNA has been proposed as the most reliable method for in vivo biopsies.

 Description

This kit is designed for the in vitro quantification of JEV genomes. The kit is designed to have a broad detection profile. The dynamics of genetic variation means that new sequence information may become available after the initial design. The primers have 100% homology with over 95% of reference sequences in the NCBI database therefore have a very broad quantification profile and have been designed for the detection of genotypes I, II, III, IV and V. However, due to the inherent instability of RNA viral genomes, it is not possible to guarantee quantification of all clinical isolates.
