Respiratory Syncytial virus Nucleic Acid Detection Kit

 Product Information

Cat #
CBMN-DG062
CAS No.
Enzyme Commission Number
Product Overview
Biochemical assays for microbial pathogen detection work on the basis of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or reverse-transcriptase PCR.
Features
Robust Lyophilized RT-qPCR master mix;
Highly specific detection profile;
High priming efficiency;
Accurate controls.
Method
Technology
Reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) is the gold standard technique for mRNA quantification, but appropriate normalization is required to obtain reliable data. Normalization to accurately quantitated RNA has been proposed as the most reliable method for in vivo biopsies.

 Description

This kit is designed for the in vitro quantification of RSV spp. genomes. The kit is designed to have a broad detection profile. Specifically, the primers represent 100% homology with over 95% of the NCBI database reference sequences available at the time of design. The primers and probe have been designed to detect subtypes A and B whilst excluding the closely related human Metapneumoviruses.
